Also, as I've said before, the faculty at large community colleges could totally do the jobs that faculty at Yale do, and a lot of faculty at ivies could not do our jobs for a single semester.

There is a growing market for an institution of higher ed that JUST provides students a simple deep liberal arts education. Where they WRITE & READ a lot (& do math and science) and THINK a lot. AI is absent from the discourse. Those would cultivate the minds capable of creativity & innovation.

The first two excerpts are from a February 2023 NYT column. The second two are from a NYT column published yesterday. The same columnist -- Pamela Paul -- wrote both. 14 months apart. Just a mind-blowing lack of self-awareness.
