We need to work on tight regulations, laws that protect human work, protecting living standards, and continuing to fight the climate crisis. But AI in coding will never go away at this point, like how LLMs applied to machine translation have been doing just fine for ~10 years on sites like DeepL.

I’ve been running damage control ever since I followed everyone on the AI knowers starter pack. Bluesky is generally very anti-AI so I wanted to balance it out a bit, but now I’m exposed to a lot of really cooked brains. Where my normies at?
I’ve appreciated software alternative sites over the years. OSS alternatives. More recently, EU alternatives. It seems we increasingly need a general “not led/owned by actual fascists” alternatives directory.
It was super low effort to do the right thing. And yet…
justinmk could have just closed this issue by saying "I merged the PR to replace this quote with one from someone else" or even just "I merged a linked PR." and leave it at that. but he just HAD to jump in with one final "fuck all of you for even being mad about this". YIKES
Added a starter pack recently and no long understand most of the posts on my feed. Cannot recommend.
It sucks that Dolly Parton is gone, but it’s heartwarming that people are (re)discovering what a wonderful person she was.
Let's not normalise husbands jumping this high please.
This one is kinda scarier than the running imo that's an insane height for a husband to be jumping
Fell into a rabbit hole about some of the things to grow out of Harry Potter fanfiction and now know enough to warn others away from doing the same.
Ever get the feeling that everyone is talking about a thing on here and there's no context, so you have no idea what's going on unless you've been following the discourse for the full 72 hours since it started? I get that a lot.
Where are people successfully finding job opportunities as software engineers? I had a couple of referrals, but they haven't gotten back to me. I've put in a bunch of applications at companies I thought were interesting. Other than someone approaching me directly, I'm not sure what's effective.
🌿🤎🍉 so grateful for animals hope this brings ya joy 🤎🌱🤎
I saw this fellow on Vinted and impulse bought him. I have no use for it whatsoever, but its presence brings me joy.
Wild that there's no way to jump to an issue in GitHub with e.g. cmd+k -> issue number. I've been editing the URL for as long as I can remember.
Taking control of our data: love it. The biggest piece of the puzzle for me is that I'm still using Google for email, for convenience. Time to move!
Let's do this ! di.day/en
Can't stop buying label printers. Now I have different looking labels so I need to buy one label printer which prints labels that are better than all of them 🙃.
You are free to cut anyone out of your life who makes you feel bad for just being yourself. There are plenty of people who will love you for who you are.
lol come the fuck on
Hi, I'm an imminently rupturing appendix.
Introduce yourself as what almost killed you. Hi, I'm Cows!
"I'm nearly ready to launch this," I proclaim, as I complete one issue and open five more that grew out of it.
People think Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer is a story for children, that’s true. And, we show it to children because we understand it’s life advice. People are often left out because of their beliefs or physical traits etc. You’ll get further by including those people in your life. Even Bumble.
