In the wake of Arday's death, Nathan Cofnas (who led the X mob against him) states his motivation. Beyond whistleblowing, he states that after a 'revolution' removes professors like Arday, it will open opportunities for him to become 'head of the department of eugenics and race science at Harvard'.

With respect to Cofnas, why is nobody talking about this in the MSM? > We find it [improbably] that [he] was the best out of 14 candidates for this job[. His boss] repeatedly stated in the press that [he] published in highly ranked journals and had been affiliated with leading institutions. 1/n

Last Thursday, the far-right student organization KVHV organized a public lecture by Nathan Cofnas. The lecture was an absolute train wreck. It will take a while to analyze everything, but here are some first impressions. /1

Hey all, it's Bandcamp Friday today, so consider supporting artists you love by purchasing music or merch. Today I'm in a rootsy/Americana mood, so purchased Mildred's "Fenceline," Cut Worms' "Transmitter," Mikaela Davis' "Graceland Way," & twisted teens' "Florida Water Blues." Links in replies.

I arrive 20 min before class to play tunes from my collection; class begins when I stop music & talk about it. Each semester has a theme. This Fall it's "20th century albums by artists of color." Always brutal narrowing it down w/some diversity in genres/decades (60s-90s); many greats don't make it.

With @remyfurrer.bsky.social, a new piece in Nature Human Behavior. The standard description of a polygenic score as a "genetic predisposition" essentializes a statistical construct. It's not language policing: PGS are a new kind of entity; now is the time to think carefully about what they are.
