I just created www.lgbtqlegislation.com which builds on the work of the LegiAlerts team to provide an interactive data dashboard to look at 20+ years of anti-LGBTQ legislation and especially anti-trans legislation. It also includes an overview of pro-LGBTQ legislation. Check it out!

LGBTQ+ Legislation Tracking Project

Two decades of anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, documented bill by bill — 10,000+ bills tracked across every state and Congress by the LegiAlerts team.

I meant to write about this story and I didn't and I'm sorry. Trans kids have been abandoned by so many people. It's hard to find words for seeing the kids who were our promise for a world where people like us didn't have to have the hard lives most of us had being abandoned life by innocent life.

When we finally break, it’s taken as proof that we were already broken. I think of this Malcolm X quote often: “…I have no mercy or compassion in me for a society that will crush people, and then penalize them for not being able to stand up under the weight.”

this story should be national news during pride month and instead barely anyone knows about it

A lawsuit challenging Idaho's transgender bathroom ban in K-12 public schools could end soon, after a group at Boise High School suing over the law dropped the case.
The move came after a transgender student who was part of Boise High School's Sexuality and Gender Alliance died by suicide, and another stopped attending the school, the group's lawyers wrote in a legal agreement reached Wednesday requesting the case be dismissed.

🚨Massive: The AMA has issued a statement saying that they still fully support gender affirming care and don’t endorse the new ASPS position! They say that their media misinterpreted their statement regarding surgeries and their position remains unchanged! Link below:

Rob Reiner either made your favorite movie, or made somebody you know’s favorite movie. If you’re a Californian, he’s also part of the reason you or your friends can get married. He has changed more lives for the better than this asshole commenting on him ever did.

The Alberta government putting out a statement for Trans Day of Remembrance two days after using the Notwithstanding Clause to override trans kids rights feels like parody at this point "Our government remains a dedicated partner of transgender Albertans.”

“Banning books won’t preserve childhood innocence. But it will rob young people of stories that might have enriched or validated their lives, and it will teach others that censorship is the solution to ideas you find challenging or contrary to your personal values.”

The push to sanitize school collections erases what literature is for: knowledge, discovery, the freedom to think

Israeli soldiers gunned down Amer Rabee, a 14-year-old Palestinian American boy who was born in New Jersey, last month in the West Bank. His death has spurred anger over soldiers’ use of force and an apparent lack of accountability. nyti.ms/3ZzbQ8Q

I fight for a world where the first thought average people have about someone transitioning is "wow science is cool" and not "let me share with you my opinions about toilets"
