Every few years, I rewatch Lawrence of Arabia and have to ask myself if this is the best film ever made. Anyway, I rewatched Lawrence of Arabia today.
These people watched WALL-E and thought the humans on the Axiom were something to aspire to.
There are a lot of details in here about Zuck releasing a half-baked product, but one thing that really stands out is just how weird these folks are. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/09/t...

There *is* a ton of room for improvement on the sequels, because they shouldn't exist. Jaws is a one-and-done. Leave it alone.
Mike Flanagan wants to make a JAWS movie. Flanagan explains during a Reddit AMA session this week, "Honestly, I wish to hell I could make a JAWS movie." "Another example where no one will EVER get close to the original, but there is a ton of room for improvement on the sequels."

Wife: Yes, because all of that will take less time than reading our baby a fucking book.

Forgotten Island: It only took until the 2020s for DreamWorks Animation to become a genuinely impressive studio. This is, along with The Wild Robot, one of my favorite animated films of the last few years. Unexpected and energetic and thrilling stuff.
Just about everyone's had a job where they're held to much stricter standards than anyone they answer to. What this century presupposes is: what if that was everywhere all the time, screaming in your face? It would probably be fine
Well, the moon doesn’t know about you either, Drake.
[Lambert] Patriots QB Drake Maye reveals he is unsure if the US landed on the moon in 1969. “I don’t know about the moon .. I think I can see back in the day why we would put on the mask if we went there, but I’m not really sure 200% if we went there or not” www.boston25news.com/news/local/p...
