Working on the sample pages on the new pitch, exciting but also making me sad about my last pitch Motley. I'm tempted to just post the sample pages because I do like the pages and I hate the idea of no one ever seeing them. It is a truck novel that I AM planning on going back to eventually though.

i made this last month as a thank-you card to the librarians who chose Hunger's Bite as a YA Fiction honoree, finally remembered to share it. go support your local library, they're on the front lines fighting against censorship and book banning, and we authors for children owe them so much!!

emery, neeta, and wick all enjoying a library with the text "Thank you, our librarians, for always fighting for our right to read, and for people like me to be read" attributed to taylor robin, author of hunger's bite (me)

In the past three day, I've see a documentary about deep sea bioluminescence (A Life Illuminated), the Utena movie, and the Hadestown proshoot. All great experiances for very different reasons lol.

These medieval freaks are back!⚔️ Cover art for the short comic I'll be debuting at PCAF this weekend! I intend for Gallant to be a longer, ongoing webcomic but I'm starting with this little intro to test out the concept hehe. Comic will be posted next week!!

There's a certain point in doing historical research for a story where I will spend hours trying to figure out a specific detail and I have to literally stop myself and go "I don't anyone is going to notice this if it's wrong" and move on with my day.
