Personally art school ruined me before social media did (although social media perpetuates it). Some classes graded sketchbooks and there was a culture in illustration major of sharing/showing off sketchbooks. *All* my art felt like performing for others and it stuck with me these many years later.
Sen@dresdencodak.com · 2d agoArt tip: don't share everything you draw. Draw things you never intend to show anyone. Your brain needs time to just exist in a state that's not about performing for strangers. This used to be the normal way to exist before social media poisoned us.

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. A new example of Meta shithousery. This is a post of mine on Instagram (left). Click the dots top right and this advisory note appears (right). I never use ai, never will. Why would they do this? Who benefits? Are they just trying to make viewers think everything is genAI so they just accept it?
They have done this to so many of my drawings, a friend has just let me know. What the actual HELL. I never NEVER used AI in my drawings, and I never will. Just what the actual hell!?!
