I mean… this is a painful watch. Here we are, Brexit Britain, in our not-so-splendid isolation, being battered on trade, less secure, less reliable, less trusted… just so much less… Canada wants in and we still can’t admit what arrogant, clueless fools we were for throwing it all away.

Why isn’t there a total moratorium on all reporting on Reform until after the multiple investigations into their finances have been completed? Free propaganda for potentially corrupt liars should be banned. It might make them think twice before breaking rules and taking the piss out of all of us.

There's been a real failure on the part of progressive leaders this summer to link the weather and Net Zero in the public mind. Most people get it, but the consensus is crumbling and it would be useful to reinforce it.
