In the 1950s we had 700 different chemicals in our food Today we have over 10,000 in our food In Europe, they only have 700 still today. Kelloggs makes the safer Canadian version and the American version. Two different options, same manufacturer. Americans have been sold out sadly.

None of my Swiss Chard has come up - and I sowed loads. Was wondering whether to try a late sowing - but it was 27 degrees Celsius in the shade at 10am today so assume it still won't be happy with our new version of a British summer. Is there any point in trying?

My red tomatoes are smaller than marbles. Sort of micro-tomatoes. I'm growing some black tomatoes for the first time. There are a few of them coming on - very few, but at least they are there. Unfortunately I don't know how to tell when they are ripe!

Just sown. Some of these might be too late. But with prices rising exponentially if you have leftover seed you’ve nothing to lose!
