The slide mechanism on my van door failed. A wheel disintegrated. So I went to my parts van, hosed off the wasps nests, peeled off the door skin, and removed the slide mechanism. It went easy into my door and after a little grease she slides like new! Video in next post.

Today the tide was super low exposing about 20 acres of sand flats. We took our canoe up to an inland lake instead. Turns out it was really windy and choppy so we only paddled for a 20 minutes and had a picnic on a beach. Was nice to get the canoe wet finally!

So this is happening. Some of those friends got a booth and invited me in. The Commodore Ballroom is mostly GA so it's nice that I'll have a place to play MapTap on my phone if I'm bored.

I'm not sure it's worth shlepping to Vancouver in August but the room will be full of friends. Ones with questionable music taste, but friends none the less.
