And yet those that sought to overturn that election without plausible proof continue to be treated as respected participants in the democratic enterprise. I am on my way to a conference at Harvard where one of the leaders of that effort is very nearly a co-host, with multiple places on the agenda.

The 2020 election has been relentlessly studied by our most experienced experts and by our most craven partisan hacks for 6y now, and every examination has wound up demonstrating the integrity of Biden’s victory in that election and the malignity of Trump’s obsession with undermining it.

Compelling 🧵. Russia was and remains a deeply racist imperial regime. Only monumental acts of dishonesty or self- delusion can allow one to say otherwise. What Russia is doing to Ukrainians (and Georgians and Belarusians and Tatars and Moldovans and ...) is only the latest in a long, ugly sequence.

The tankies are happy to tell me that they were criminals. Tell me, what crime is it that Ona Kašėtaitė, aged 2, could have committed? Or Birute Kašėtaitė, aged 3? Algis, aged 1. Romualdas, aged 8?

American Liberals and Leftists should not be surprised if America faces a lot of scepticism even after Trump is gone from Canadians, Europe and the rest of the world as long as Democrats and DSA preach norms of international law they refuse to implement towards their own country

Everything being said about prohibitions on personal glorification and political campaigns is correct, but also note that 31 USC 1301 prohibits spending any appropriated funds for any purpose not specified in the appropriation. Doing so therefore violates the Anti-Deficiency Act and is a crime.

How clear is it that Trump's taxpayer funded ads are illegal? I explain why it is 10/10 clear. Senate in passing the law: Ban is designed to stop public funds used for "glorification" of an individual official. GAO: funds can not be used for "self-aggrandizement" nor partisan political purposes.

In Sumy russians struck the city center with three aerial bombs this afternoon, one of the bombs hit a specialized children’s home in a targeted attack on children. Two people were killed in the, including a 16-year-old girl‼️ Monsters. Sick child murderers.

Lavrov told the UN today that Ru was forced to invade in 2022 because Ukraine was about to try to retake Donbas. First, 💯💯 false. But also, now you know the exact line he will use to justify Ru’s third invasion if Ukraine were to agree to give up all of Donbas in this round of useless "peace talks".

Dexter Filkins' long anticipated piece on Jared Kushner has dropped. The conflicts of interest are jaw dropping. Kushner took $2.2 bn from the Saudis. His conduct since shows he is a very effective advocate of their interests. Of course we know about the Iran War, which Crown Prince Bone Saw wanted

Important: the USPS rule that SCOTUS blocked tonight was Trump’s big plan to control and restrict mail voting. But a separate policy remains in place: USPS is no longer postmarking mail as soon it gets it, which is hugely important for deadlines. So people must mail back with plenty of time.

In an Intense Election Year, New Post Office Rules Could Trip Up Voter Registration - Bolts

A change in how mail is postmarked could lead some voters to miss key deadlines, including voter registration. Advocates worry the people most affected will be those already facing voting barriers.

A literal child trafficker! Trump's son has a child trafficker as a sugar daddy! It is like every Q conspiracy Trump is trying to make real but with his family as the villains.

1/ This @propublica.org story is just gobsmacking. As table stakes: why does a family of billionaires need help paying for weddings? And why would they accept from Russian oligarch with ties to Putin and FSB? www.propublica.org/article/dona...
