Incroyable photo face au Cap Ferret en flammes... En 2026, le mème « This is fine » prend vie. (𝑃ℎ𝑜𝑡𝑜 𝐴𝐹𝑃 - 𝑀𝑎𝑥𝑖𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑛 𝐿𝑎𝑚𝑦)

En haut : Photo de deux estivants dans des transats sur la plage et sous un parasol Pastis 51, regardant l'horizon du Cap Ferret saturé par les fumées de l'incendie

The YouTube Android app is so broken now that when you switch your phone theme between light and dark the text of the app doesn't change color and becomes illegible. 🤦‍♂️ I'm seriously wondering if there is any human left working on this app.

Handling daylight saving time and timezone changes is already a hard enough problem in computer science, and now in addition to positive leap seconds we also have to deal with negative leap seconds because the earth stopped slowing down and started spinning faster?! www.techtimes.com/articles/320...

Earth Rotation Records Spur October Vote to Avert Negative Leap Second

Negative leap second risk is driving an October 2026 CGPM vote to replace the 54-year-old leap second with a leap hour. Earth set rotation speed records in 2024 and 2025, and timekeepers estimate a 30...

IMPORTANT PRIVACY PSA: YouTube has foolishly rolled out a new “feature” that will dox you or compromise your privacy without you knowing! When you tap the share button on a video and send a link now, anyone opening that link will see your channel name, handle, and avatar! Enabled by default. 🫪

YouTube share notification showing a red circular avatar at top, with text "Sent by" followed by redacted channel name and handle. Two buttons below: "Allow messaging" (white) and "Not now" (dark). Bottom text reads "Allowing as @" with redacted handle. The image demonstrates YouTube's new feature that exposes user channel information when sharing video links.YouTube Privacy settings screen with a red-bordered section highlighting "Channel visibility for shared links" toggle (currently off). The setting states: "Show your channel name, handle, and profile picture to people who open links you share outside YouTube." Other visible options include "About your location," "Blocked contacts," "YouTube Terms of Service," and "Allow users to mention me" toggle (also off).

Truly bizarre story of how two papers from the 1940s by physics pioneer Max Planck have been "retracted" from Naturwissenschaften, potentially by an algorithm, for anachronistic "plagiarism" issues, leaving the current editor baffled (but it is Springer Nature so.... www.science.org/content/arti...

Why have papers by one of history’s most famous physicists been retracted?

Springer Nature has removed two studies by Max Planck. A bot may be to blame

Musk functionally ran the US government for 6 months last year and managed to: increase spending, slash services, kill 100,000s, and help nurture both Ebola & Screwworms. Yet somehow no one mentions this when they talk about the company he is going to take public this week.

I thought people were kidding, turns out Elon really did axe the screwworm containment program back in March 25. fucking imbecile www.agri-pulse.com/articles/226...

My neighbors put a flyer in my mailbox promoting an upcoming local barbecue event, featuring a prominent ugly AI-generated image. It shows people with shortened limbs and distorted faces and the meat on the barbecue looks like it comes straight out of a Cronenberg movie. I feel slightly threatened.

NEW: One day after we revealed Meta was quietly building face recognition into its smart glasses, the latest version deletes it. Meta execs, who called our reporting "dishonest" and "misleading," continue to dodge our questions.

Meta Deletes Face-Recognition System From Its Smart Glasses App After WIRED Report

The code WIRED identified is gone from the latest version of Meta AI, the companion app for the company’s smart glasses. Meta won’t say why or whether it’s coming back.

Today Microsoft moved all its GitHub copilot subscribers to token-based billing. If you want to see what happens when people have to pay the actual costs of AI, the day is finally here. It's obvious that every customer sees the deep, meaningful value and isn't angry at all.

Just one prompt and I got 50% of my whole month credits using Claude Sonnet 4.6.

This is hilarious. For context I used the Copilot Orchestrator that has Condutor, Planning, Implementator and Code review agents. But with the new "usage based pricing", seems like this is not an ideal setup anymore?
Anyone has the same experience here? I am on Copilot Prot. This is so expensive.r/GithubCopilot • 6h ago

Love the new Copilot token system

Last month I used ~60% of my quota in an entire month.
This month I've already used 25% on day one.
What an amazing improvement.r/GithubCopilot • 14h ago

First day of the new pricing model, I tried one prompt to just refine one of my existing change proposal, basically a conductor with few sub agents to update the existing change spec, architecture, test plan, prototype, tech spec and implementation plan.
About 20-30 mins task, ends up burning 16% of my monthly credits in one shot.
Bye.

It's too expensive for me. In just one day, I used 4,000/20,000 credits, which means I would end up paying $600 a month.

You used to be able to google the time of the sunset, and Google would give you the exact time right on top every single time. Thankfully, with artificial intelligence, you can now ask Google what time the sun will set and it will conveniently tell you "I don't know."
