Adaptations, as Wilson writes, “needn’t and shouldn’t follow the original with anything like the exactitude of a translation.” But in her takedown of The Odyssey she is more interested in critiquing a film that she wants, not what Nolan made. That might make for conversation, but it’s bad criticism.

As someone who is constantly beset by self-doubt, when this one came in I RACED to claim it. Comrades, believe in yourselves the way a mediocre white man does.
