I was lucky enough to receive a scholarship from The Chairmaker's Toolbox to take a sculpted mini-stool class recently. This is the stool I made. It is also a cat.

I loved this book! You should read it! Many books are compared to LeGuin, but this is IMO one that is actually interested in exploring the topics that fascinated LeGuin it's an incredible exploration of what queerness will look like in the far future also, it's a book that loves the desert
For 24 hours, the ebook of WHAT WE ARE SEEKING is on sale for $2.99 everywhere Tor ebooks are sold, or at least everywhere I checked. I expect there'll be an official promo post later, but I wanted to get the word out as early as possible. www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/...
"A Canyon of Blood for the Normalest Man Alive" by @wyrm.ing in EMBODIED EXEGEIS this story perfectly replicates the feeling of showing up online after a year away and having no fucking clue what anyone is even saying
Not to mention the speed at which online slang evolves. If you took a month off, you'd probably return to a completely different language being spoken online.
Drop a line to wim expressing interest by the end of the day today - if you've been thinking about it, we want to hear from you!
New for cohort two: a transfeminine workshop option! Huge thanks to @aporianautics.bsky.social for helping us offer (the first of many?) population specific kith crit workshop spaces. kithbooks.com/cohorttwo
i was unsure of this when i published it. i wrote it from the depths of long covid in a year without music. the final paragraphs plagued me for months. i worried the themes and symbols were too many, too messy, too obvious or obscure. i finally read it again, and no. it goes so fucking hard!!! fuck

i loved this extremely weird and good story about being a mother/daughter/bug/hole/giant you should go read it!

The Fortunate Fall is one of my favorite cyberpunk books, and sadly its depictions of internet censorship feel very relevant today. Also contains properly crusty neuro implants, at least one whale, and probably the best coming out scene I've ever read
The Kindle edition of The Fortunate Fall is currently marked down to $2.99. This price only seems to be available on Amazon US and Canada. I have no idea how long it will last. www.amazon.com/Fortunate-Fa...

listen, I've read QUIET HOURS and it is SO GOOD, so I need you to go fund the stretch goal for this Have you ever had a bad roommate? what if the nasty tenderqueer and the abusive muscle mommy lesbian weren't the worst thing waiting for you in this incredibly incisive queer co-op housing horror?
Yesss @neonhemlock.bsky.social met its initial funding goal for the novella series! Another 2k and you’ll get my novella. You want to feel really uncomfortable about roommate dynamics, right? You want to process your pre 2024 election feelings, right? Well: www.kickstarter.com/projects/dav...
everyone should go read PERSONA by @ravineangel.bsky.social and learn about the full spectrum of New Kinds of Bugs

I’m calling everyone out.
We're getting so close to funding already! As an incentive, here is my little love letter to QUIET HOURS by Esther Alter (@esther-alter.bsky.social) that I'd love to include in this novella series if we reach that first stretch goal. It's really effective piece of queer housing horror.
woodworkers are always saying, "You always need more clamps!" and it turns out, I need more clamps

I WROTE A NOVELLA AND IT'S GETTING PUBLISHED. Quiet Hours is queer housing horror. Have you ever had a bad roommate? If so, you know how bad it can get. This is a novella that (I hope) we need and deserve: we're all trying to defend each other from the enemy, but sometimes the enemy is in the house
The finalfinalfinalforreal.doc title is @esther-alter.bsky.social's QUIET HOURS, a truly disturbing and keenly rendered literary queer housing horror. Esther's book will be added to this novella series as our first STRETCH GOAL, so please help us fund!
📚 Our seventh novella series crowdfund is now live 📚 Boosts appreciated!
