I also stand on the shoulders of giants who have significantly contributed to trans healthcare via sharing their own analysis and digging up long forgotten papers for free who then have their research used uncredited by those who do have the privilege of being part of the system 👁️

The gatekeeping of trans women from healthcare isn't seen as medical misogyny for cissexist reasons, even though it's really obvious in some cases---like our fucking BMI being an ironclad rubric that clinics simply will not budge on when we're trying to get surgery.

The murder of Brianna Ghey was, first and foremost, a transfemicide. I'm not going to keep quoting the vile shit her killers said about her because honestly it doesn't need boosting, you can look it up for yourself if you must.

It's easy and convenient for institutions that help perpetuate the transmisogyny and broader transphobia that clearly contributed to Brianna Ghey's death to blame social media or extreme online content or whatever. It doesn't explain why her killers saw her as somebody they were allowed to hurt.

This is a general gripe with all forms of bans and prohibitions but why are we so in love with taking stuff away without adding stuff to address the actual problem?
