Just this year, 40 military officers have been forcibly removed from those promotion lists. Over half of them are either women, or people of color. There seems to be a pointed effort to get rid of people who are not white men who are on the promotion list by merit.

I just got back home from a morning spent in NYC immigration court and I'm stunned by what's happening. I went because I got a tip that "mega master" hearings were starting today and that turned out to be correct. One judge had 121 cases. Another had 88.

A US-born woman born was confronted by sheriff deputies in Louisiana who were convinced her ID and social security card were fakes. They turned her over to ICE, who shackled her & took her an hour away. Even after a lawyer convinced ICE of the woman's citizenship the sheriff says they did no wrong

There is no California politician who has worked harder and been more effective than Scott Weiner when it comes to housing, and if you want to beat him on *that* issue you better come equipped with policies rather than red x emojis.
