Masami Obari mentions getting into an SRW game (Cross Omega's Pop Team Epic event) when discussing "Things 80% of your followers probably haven't experienced". Terada adds: "For the record, this was not Obari-san's idea. It was my request, and I was honestly expecting him to say no."

To everyone reading this right now. I'm JAKE. I'm the Japanese person who recently published this article and promoted it on Twitter (X). note.com/guiltyjake/n... This article introduces Fantasy Maiden Wars, an amazing game I absolutely love.

I can't find a source for this off-hand, but in terms of his bona fides, I believe he's done E>J translation work professionally and he's perfectly conversant IIRC, so I'm personally not worried about AI usage, especially since it's meant to be reference material for a proper J>E translation later.

Aya Nishitani has posted his English translations for the 1st 3 chapters of Megami Tensei!

Now that volume 7 is officially out— I've taken over translation work on Always a Catch!, AKA that one romance fantasy series with the girl with the knuckle duster hairclip. I hope the readers enjoy the latest volume! And for those unfamiliar, there's an anime this season on Crunchyroll!

I have verified this with my source. Said source is incredibly reliable: he was the translator for the first official English releases of Gundam anime in the late 90s (the movies and the sidestories). He actually knows where these came from, and the sources came from Japan! 🧵

When English translations of Gundam media use the term "feddie" is that a direct translation...? Like is there also a slang word for the the Federation in Japanese? I'm just curious, I always wondered if that was a fan thing or not. (Same with "zeek" actually)
