A few thoughts on academic civility, the paradigm ceasefire, and the challenge posed to critical social psychology by the misdiagnosis of the replicability crisis. Based on the idea that the Harré quote below would be seen as terribly poor form if uttered by a prominent social psychologist today.

"Science should not legislate but rather discover what there is and what questions to ask." Beautiful quote! Every time science tries to legislate what to do and how to go about it, it loses something of its essence.

I think the general scientific community also includes a lot of serious scientists who are thinking about how best to practice their science without necessarily buying into some procedures imposed on them under the OS label. I think people are disillusioned with that label and the package deal
