Seeing the Irish president, Catherine Connolly, come to Belfast near everyday if not everyday for the historical moment of Fleadh Cheoil being hosted here for the first time is wholesome - a president walking through the city, watching people play, going to the pub. Presidency is different here.
I'd say failing crops, starvation, & societal breakdown is what should be averted, but what do I know, I'm not auditioning to be further right than Jim O'Callaghan & to lead FF into oblivion. #IrishPol

Having to cancel my annual sale of original paintings and close my print shop, it's been not great for an unpaid carer. So over the next couple of weeks you'll see me push unsold paintings and try out some print options.

Seems like 2026 is the year the "Climate change will manifest as a series of disasters viewed through phones with footage that gets closer and closer to where you live until you're the one filming it" post lands for everyone.
"It's a wake with a decent playlist." I was lucky enough to live in Dublin during the recession. Events most nights of the week coz artists lived there & I was looking out over Dublin Bay for €800 a month, earning about 50k. I might as well be describing Joyce's Dublin compared to now.
