The future is mutual aid. ✨ 💪 Trying to build community at the intersections of art and justice movements, sometimes organizing mutual aid fundraisers and distributing zines. 🕎 for a free 🇵🇸. Dog auntie, flower lover, tchotchke queen. she/her
Don't take shit the Washington Post says for granted. This data is public and you can see it for yourself. The "free fall" being reported on is a specific grade dropping the level of self reported bisexuals in a single year. Be vigilant for this shit!
I reanalyzed the CDC data behind the LGB “free fall” headline. It rests on a change in bisexual identification among one grade, in one wave, of one survey. Gay or lesbian identification did not change significantly. Calling it a "free fall" is sensational and just gives bad actors talking points.
was having a conversation with a family friend two days ago about this. . . I genuinely think society needs to be structured so we can live together in households where not every adult has to be working for pay. (obvi not a fan of gender roles which indicate it can ONLY be a woman)
Proposing analog to,”racism can explain every weird thing in America” is, “women are busy working for money is the secret reason everything we miss about a society is now dying.”
This is tangential to the point, but if the mayor can’t stop the police because they’re effectively a gang, then the only actual solution is to take their money away
These stories, similar to the “well the Mayor can’t actually stop the police or they’ll kill him” talking point always leads me to these questions because how are the people who don’t get supposed to think about what the police will do to them?
Grateful for slow progress on this fundraiser. Any and all amounts welcome and so are shares. www.mightycause.com/story/Rebuil...

Thread worth reading if only b/c of how much of it, by volume, is people saying “the way GLP-1 meds are marketed/talked about is undoing decades of what was already achingly incremental progress on fighting cultural fatphobia and thin people are being more fucked up about fatness than ever”
Fellow fat people/people who wear plus sizes: how is the skinnypocalypse showing up in your own life, outside of media? What kinds of changes have you noticed in body politics in your own friends/family/coworkers/neighbors/self?
Bingo! A lot of thin people I see try to discuss this topic shut their brains off at that part and it's tiring This shit is not neutral at all
A good thing is, belief in body autonomy doesn’t require giving up the right to do cultural analysis. Any individual can try intentional weight loss if they want; I’ll never give up critiquing the thin supremacy that’s making the demand.
Hell yeah @innerloop-press.bsky.social (I’m admittedly taking the L right now not the bus but whatever)
The Indigenous Royalties program directly benefits Nibezun, and so can you. “Nibezun” means “medicine” in Penobscot, & the org Nibezun seeks to serve as good medicine for Wabanaki people & communities right (t)here in the Dawnland Confederacy. www.nibezun.org

Here in Massachusetts (name as stolen from the Massachusett peoples as the land is) there is the Wôpanâak Language Reclamation Project, which is just what it says on the tin - Wôpanâak/Wampanoag language reclamation, preservation, & revitalization. www.wlrp.org

Another cool option from here in so-called “New England” (barf) is FedCo Seeds Indigenous Royalties program, where they pay “royalty fees” for the seeds, plantings, etc that continue to exist thanks to Indigenous cultivation, stewardship, & land management fedcoseeds.com/benefit-shar...

Autumnal mega vouching for Luna even though it's hot outside because inside my heart it is autumn. She gives so much to our community, give something back to her if you can swing it. 💜
I'm getting bottom surgery on December 9, two months from today!!! I've started a GoFundMe to help with recovery costs (including travel costs for my girlfriend, who'll be my primary caregiver during that time, and general living costs). Please help if you can! www.gofundme.com/f/support-lu...
We already know he’s not going to. He’s already gone from naming the NYPD as a primary tormentor of Black and Brown people to apologizing to them when he met with AOC and Sanders. Every political official is morally compromised b/c every position requires compliance with the empire.
If Mamdani's office doesn't bring charges against this ICE officer and hold the NYPD accountable what might that change about your understanding of him? What might that change about how you engage electoral candidates going forward?
That time someone dumped a toy house on the cemetery wall and, when I crouched a bit, some ✨ Hollywood Magic ✨ occurred.
My online store is open again!! I have new prints and a couple new postcards! 🎉🌼 oliviawhen.com/store
Oh yeah, this new mushie is available in my shoppe too.
I do think this is useful context for the pro-Palestine protests against Mamdani in NYC
My cousin organized a series of masked concerts in NYC so immunocompromised and other covid-conscious folks can still enjoy live music events, and is raising funds so he can keep doing so! Love and appreciation to anyone able to chip in 🙏🏾♥️ www.kickstarter.com/projects/pos...

liberals be like "Trump is bad because he has formed a cult of personality among his base who will defend him no matter what he does" and then form a cult of personality around Mamdani and defend him no matter what he does (or doesn't do).
We live in capitalism. Its power seems inescapable. So did the divine right of kings. Any human power can be resisted and changed by human beings. Resistance and change often begin in art, and very often in our art, the art of words.
My good friend is finally getting settled - yall were so helpful with the crockpot drive if you'd like to redirect efforts here it would be greatly appreciated
I also have a list of the things I’m going to need for setting up house, some of these things are cheaper not on Amazon so if we know each other and you want to get something somewhere else, you can message me for my shiny new address. www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/...
We've raised about $15,000 towards the $40,000 goal. $25,000 to go in my fundraising campaign. Thank you. www.mightycause.com/story/Rebuil...

Everytime I mention that BlueSky is just not good for non-US global news and discussion, I get piled on. BlueSky is great for many, many reasons, but the rest of the world is still very much on Twitter / X. What is happening in India is *massive*.
It is wild the degree to which being on Bluesky (as opposed to Twitter, which feels like walking into the clamour of an Indian railway station) feels like hitting mute on India right now, with the whole nation at a turning point.

Just read Avalon, Rise by Madeline ffitch and really loved it! It tells the intertwining stories of people in an Appalachian town who are resisting a local white nationalist group - from Food Not Bombs punk kids to white liberal Boomer ladies to an elderly, disabled WWII vet.
I'm excited for this zine - I love The Sapling Cage and am looking forward to reading more stories set in its world. Just ordered four copies, one for me and three as holiday presents for friends! 💜
We are very excited to announce a new, gorgeous zine by @margaret.bsky.social! Pre-order it today. The zine officially releases on October 31st, 2026 when we'll be mailing out preorders. www.tangledwilderness.org/shop/p/folkt...
