It has funded FREE school lunch for ALL students, FREE buses in lowest income communities (people can get to work, etc.), and FREE community college. And "exodus" was minimal.

what is the point of government if not to protect its people? how many towns need to burn before they start putting our interests before the fossil fuel lobby? will it take their own homes burning down for them to care? how much apocalypse are we expected to tolerate?
i feel like i’m going insane because my province is on fire again and every gov is dismantling climate policies and increasing fossil fuel use/development in the name of “affordability”. what is affordability when everything burns around you and you lose everything? there has to be a better way

Utah’s biggest source of electricity is now the Sun. Solar panels produced nearly 1 terawatt-hour of electricity in May 2026, accounting for almost one-third of all power generated in the state that month. Natural gas produced about 32%, coal generated 28% and wind contributed 2%.
