my suggestion is that you don't even bother with trying to appeal to the other side of the dispute and aggressively take on the topic for what it is. it's intentionally annoying, frivolous nonsense that needs to be treated as such

The next time some centrist accuses trans people of playing purity politics, think of this: a trans woman who writes for Liberal Currents writes an article criticizing Talarico but says people should vote for him anyway and they still call her a wrecker.
