There is a distinct, largely generational, split in our department at the moment, causing some heated discussions. So... how often do you shut down your laptop? (Like, fully shut down, not just close the lid) a) Every day b) Only when something goes wrong, or it tell you to restart c) Something else

#Mathstoday In between the fire alarm drill my year 10 played Prime Factory. The highest score in the class was 175. No calculators allowed! No time limits.

I marked year 13 homework today. It’s open-book and they’re encouraged to seek help to do the best they can. I’ve just marked 20 pieces of work done mostly by AI. Other than throwing it at them tomorrow, suggestions on what I can do? (They’ve had the “you’re only cheating yourselves” talk already!)

Anyone around north London can teach A level maths for a few days at an outstanding sixth form college in Harrow on the Hill? Their results were fab, and they are massively over subscribed and maths numbers are bouncing ... I taught there three years myself, brilliant place to teach. #ALevelMaths

I don't know if anyone's teaching L2 FM this year, but Vietnamese University Entrance Exam has a good collection of questions combining coordinate geometry AND Euclidian geometry - you'll need to do geometric proofs before plugging in coordinates! #ALevelMaths #L2FurtherMaths
