Really enjoying creating some new lessons for KS5 in #Mathstoday. Here are a couple of the slides from Y2 Trig Modelling. Interested to see what people think! #ALevelMaths

Do A level Maths students still need a physical folder with work done on A4 lined paper? Is this a thing OFSTED care about? How do you get your students to do work - are Ipads okay? Thank you - would love to know what other people do 😊 #Alevelmaths #MathsToday
I know it's the holidays, but I any suggestions for a new KS4 resource? Currently use Pearson Active Learn, but we all end up finding alternative questions, as insufficient skills building questions. We liked the style of good old-fashioned Rayner books from the 1990s. Any recommendations? 🙏
In #MathsToday I made a free printable poster: The Six Ghosts Hiding in your Algebra (i.e. overtisation). Grab the high quality PDF from the link:
Year 2 Edexcel A Level further maths… point me towards resources that aren’t booklets or books please! I love @draustinmaths.com stuff and have a few Integral resources, but can’t find much else. Please and thank you. #alevelmaths #mathstoday #furthermaths
Hope you’re all surviving ☀️ I have one lesson left at the end of term with year 12 and I’d love a hands-off revision lesson to cover year 12 content (thinking calculated colouring, murder mystery etc). Anyone got/know of anything like this before I get creative? Thank you 🥰 #alevelmaths #mathstoday
Evening all! I’m looking for the ‘leadership tree’ image with the 15 or so little characters representing different people in a team, including different types of leaders. I’ve spent too long searching on Google, so really someone here knows what I mean and has a copy! Please and thank you 🥰

Evening all. Has anybody made (or know of) knowledge organisers for Edexcel Further Core 2 please?
We’re looking to update our whole-school CPD library. Any recommendations? Maths, other subjects or whole school topics! We have several copies of Rosenshine’s Principles in Action and When the Adults Change, but everything else is ancient (VAK 🤣)! Thank you 🥰

I've added a new section to the site today - A-level Revision. Over the next few months I hope to add to the revision resources, starting with four A-level grids - algebraic methods, quadratics, exponentials and logs, and circle geometry. www.draustinmaths.com/revision #ALevelMaths #MathsToday
Is it too soon to buy my planner for next year? 🫣♥️
✨NEW✨ resources added this morning - challenging volume and surface area questions involving all sorts of compound shapes. Find them at www.draustinmaths.com/volume-and-surface-area #MathsToday #UKMathsChat
In #mathstoday year 9 finally know the difference between the radius and diameter, and year 12 looked at transformations of functions.
Maths teachers- can I ask how much curriculum time per week do your Y10 and Y11 classes get? Thank you!
A friend of mine has just launched this website that I think is pretty great for generating quick starters for A-Level maths and he has started adding some questions for Further Maths too. mrhardymaths.co.uk #MathsToday #ALevelMaths

I think this could be a nice task to bring together Area, Perimeter, Pythagoras and Inverse functions. With the main idea that functions are meant to do something useful with an input!
In #mathstoday (yesterday really, but forgot to post) year 12 did this simultaneous equations loop from the maths association. Great levels of challenge and discussion.
#ALevelMaths #Mathstoday Teaching CP1 vectors to year 12 FM -one of my favourite topics to teach, but I can never find enough practice questions to build confidence. Does anyone know where I can get a bank of questions on the shortest distances type questions (point and line, point and plane, etc)?

#maths What would you remove from the current Maths GCSE? Anything you’d add?
Has anyone here used Magma Maths and what do you think of it?
In #mathstoday my surds extension task came from the wonderful Don Steward. Not a week goes by where I don’t use his thought-provoking resources.
