Given the U.S.’ abhorrent and completely unjustified attacks on Canada that are hurting so many Canadians *and* Americans while destroying many, many years of friendship, I thought I’d reshare some cool Canadian games that deserve support. 🧵 🍁

Canada rarely gets to play itself -- these games are changing that

From showcasing stunning landscapes to telling diverse stories, here's how developers are representing Canada in their games.

points at sign: THE GAMES INDUSTRY’S CUSTOMER IS THE STOCK MARKET, NOT THE GAMER Live service games are seen as ‘worth the risk’ because when one blows up (Roblox, Fortnite, GTA Online) it makes so much money that it covers all previous failures and more. What gamers say is irrelevant to this.

@alanahpearce.bsky.social As someone who knows more about the gaming industry, do the higher ups just don’t listen anymore or do they just have selective hearing? Do we need to throw physical money at them and tell them “we want just a single player game, no multiplayer.”

Fortune's Weave turns Three Houses upside down. Each route is a flashback, and the final battle is accessible from the start. It feels like a direct response to how many people played multiple routes in 3H. Do you go with 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 champions to face the final boss? (It's Breath of the Wild)

We continue.... Boycott the booze, boycott the tourism, boycott the produce, boycott anything you can and buy from anywhere else. Who can withstand senseless economic pain, increased prices longer? Pretty sure we can make it till November. ... for those who come after.

Alright y’all this current timeline we’re on had its moments but SURELY one of you has a manual save from like, I dunno, 2010-ish. Can someone kindly load that one so we can start over and delete this one?
