Yeah. Here's the rundown of how we got to the point where PAX has killed 4 programs which helped BIPOC, Disabled &/or LGBT2SQIA+ people get badges, get seen, have support and have facilitated TTRPGs & other games to play in the only place that required safety tools. i-cch.medium.com/a-timeline-a...

A Timeline and Overview of What Happened to The PAX Intersection

TL;DR: PAX has gutted programs designed to provide and improve opportunities and accessibility for Disabled, BIPOC, and LGBT2SQIA+ people…

i-cch.medium.com

COVID wasn't enough. The racism that PAX has perpetuated/profited off of wasn't enough. The ableism shown through their organization structure wasn't enough. The blatant abuse of POC wasn't enough. We really have not learned.

We should not be standing idly by while this shit continues to taint our communities, the ones that swore protection and safety to those very groups. Y'all just don't listen - and no, this doesn't apply to the people that unfortunately HAVE to go for income. I feel like this is 2020 all over again.

and the Disabled community is something that we cannot allow to happen in our spaces anymore. Taking away accessibility, mistreating and exploiting POC for their time/energy/labor, clearly having an inherent bias towards who is at the forefront of the cons and who isn't- Miss me with that.

I'm disappointed I won't be attending PAXU solely because I won't get to see my people in person (masked up!), but aside from that, I genuinely don't want to support PAX as an organization ever again. The amount of disservice and harm that they've done to safe spaces geared towards BIPOC people-

As I said the first time this study was proposed, this is unconscionable and would absolutely not fly in any wealthy nation. Medical experimentation on babies (withhold a lifesaving medical intervention just to see what happens) does not magically become okay if they happen to be poor African babies

“The children who are randomly selected not to receive the birth dose of the vaccine, those who “lost the lottery”, face in their earliest days the risk of contracting hepatitis B, which can cause irreversible lifelong damage.” No words. I am speechless. This violates all ethical boundaries.

We have to keep them out the frame to excuse letting the police routinely commit violence to them in order to protect de Blasio, but he’s at home and fine when he leaves office, they can’t leave public life and get the police to leave them alone.

I’m trans and don’t have income and am blocked from jobs and haven’t been allowed to have a job in 5 years since transitioning Please help me I release free journalism but tips and MA are down and I’m in desperate need of help Paypal: juno(dot)stump(at)gmail ko-fi.com/junostump

Violence and especially sexual violence against trans people has long been seen as justified. Our very existence is parsed as an invitation, and very few cis people are willing to extend us humanity or dignity sufficient to care about how much we are excluded, exploited, and ostracized.

A lot of trans advocacy focuses on mental health outcomes and risk of suicide, and much of the modern reactionary pushback against trans healthcare is based in proving that it doesn't make us any happier. Keep that in mind when you think about the fact that WE ARE ABUSED WHEN WE TRY TO ACCESS CARE.

The shameless abuse and violence against trans people by these so-called "medical experts" continues to this day, unabated, because the vulnerability of the trans population is downplayed and the harms against us go unreported and unpunished. We are positioned as aggressors even as we are discarded.

Anine is one of the people who worked to expose the research misconduct against trans people at Oslo University Hospital. Yesterday, she was told she is no longer on their waitlist to receive gender-affirming care. This is so obviously retaliatory, it's hard to put into words!
