Quick thinking having a tablecloth handy. I didn’t even notice the twitching from that dead robot.

This from the Times on Donna Ockenden's report on maternity in Nottingham is mind blowing. Terrible that the Trust could cover it up - chilling that the systems meant to keep us all safe - commissioners, the CQC etc - didn't raise the alarm. It fell to families.

I don't know how Keir Starmer can wake up in the morning, see that pogroms have been taking place under his watch, that they are being fuelled by literal illegal activity on social media, and not make it his entire purpose to stop it. We know you're no politician, but are you not a lawyer?

The Far Right riot in Belfast last night was nothing less than “a race-based pogrom”, Belfast MP and leader of the SDLP Claire Hanna said. The mob hunted down non-whites and set fire to their homes. Carl Whyte, a local councillor, called it “a hard Far Right element”.

For a while in my 20s I showered at the gym before I persuaded a friend's boyfriend to remove 5 spiders from my bath. But also a friend who lived down the street once let herself into my house at 5am to use the loo as there was a spider over her loo door. So, yeah

🚨 Hundreds of NHS staff a year are being investigated for sexual misconduct with many allowed back to work even after being found guilty. Now Britain's top surgeon says enough is enough and a radical overhaul is needed to protect staff & patients: www.thetimes.com/uk/healthcar...

NHS forced to allow ‘rapist’ and sex pest doctors back to work

Claims of sexual misconduct have soared and led to £11m in compensation. For some an apology and 12-month suspension is all it takes to keep practising

Said it before and I'll say it again, you don't need to agree with Zack Polanski's politics to call out what is quite clearly in my view, antisemitic caricaturing. And no, saying this doesn't lend him any political credibility. It just means we should critique his views and actions not appearance
