There's no forgiving this. No living it down. It's a stain on our humanity. When all this is over, the monsters who did this should be pariahs. And the soulless thugs who cheered it on while dehumanizing Haitian immigrants should be reminded of what they did every day of their lives.

The situation in Haiti is terrifying. On Sunday, 150 gunmen swept down on a town to kill, rape, loot, and burn. 22 people were executed in a churchyard. 52 were taken hostage. Stephen Miller mockingly says Haiti is safe and ICE just sent its second deportation flight this month; with kids on board.

I went to a little preview of Anthonie Tonnon's new show, 'Cinematographer', last night. Turns out it's a neo-Situationist manifesto with a focus on the built urban form of Whanganui before and after economic reform. An entertaining and informative evening you can dance to.

Dolly Parton regularly supported LGBTQIA+ people and BIPOC communities and spoke out against bigotry and hate, so I don't know how it's your take away from all this that she was "neutral" on culture wars or she was a "crossover icon."

"At a time when no American celebrity seems immune from the country’s many divisions, Dolly Parton was a crossover icon who stayed neutral in the culture wars while still speaking her mind," writes Zachary B. Wolf. | Analysis

Texas’s drag ban was found to be unconstitutional this morning and one of the plaintiffs who brought the suit was an Austin-based drag queen who often impersonates Dolly Dolly was named in the final judgement itself and after hearing about the lawsuit, she sent that drag queen a signed guitar

I don't think it's unprincipled for the Labour party in NZ for being on the centre side of centre left. It's honestly what makes most sense for them under MMP. I do think they're unprincipled for their allergy to any belief in anything that doesn't focus group well. Another example of that today.

So, let’s rush through 1000s of houses under Fast Track in a subdivision the council rejected as being too costly to provide infrastructure to and not aligned with council plans effectively overruling council AND then make sure councils can’t pay for the new infrastructure this demands #nzpol

Local government has been the punching bag for this government, and I can't tell you how desperate some councils were for a city deal. The fact they continue to reneg on contracts and agreements... I know even former National-aligned councillors are starting to give up on them.

National broke our Auckland Deal agreement just four months after signing it. I was in the room when the Prime Minister committed to work with us on a bed night levy policy in 2027 and to create stable events and destination funding for our city. www.rnz.co.nz/national/pro...

If Labour do support this bill it'll likely strengthen the ACT and NZF vote and not benefit National or Labour. The privacy concern, NZ First corralling of cookers - all point that way. The exception being the bigots who want to isolate queer kids from community. It's a bad bill, don't back it.
