industry awards are a net good for the material difference they make in artists’ lives—especially in a culture that doesn’t value creative labor nearly enough—but the persistent voting and logistical issues the ennies face (or invite) each year necessitate change beyond adding or editing categories
Sam Sorensen should host the ennies next year and they should give him a gun

Aside from everything else, the use of a Modern Metal Aesthetic as an invocation of D&D's past always rubs me the wrong way. We know what Old D&D looked like. It was goofy and painterly and pretty but it was never THIS.

for the past two weeks, I've been running a hexcrawl game where we play for an hour each weekday morning, very casual drop-in/out. it's been fun! it's a lovely way to start the day, and it's cool and strange to feel the rhythm of basically twoish normal sessions spread out across an entire week
if your game isnt available as a free pdf download on a sketchy website then you havent really made it yet
