I am going through Bram Stoker’s earliest notes on DRACULA today - they include a list of the powers and features of the Count (then named “Wampyr” before Stoker stumbled on “Dracula”), many of which are never elucidated in the book…

• panters cannot pant hım; looks like someone else (38b)
• insensitive to music (38b)
• despises death and the dead (38b)
. is affected only by relics that are older than he is (38b)
• can create evil thoughts in others, banish good ones, and destroy will (38b)
