Over the next two days, we are hosting the 14th Annual eSTEeM Conference, but this year, it's going to be different. Held online, we've challenged our presenters to find innovative and engaging ways to share their scholarship.

1/ Happy Random Acts of Kindness Day! ❤️ Why not celebrate by spreading kindness and experimenting in the kitchen? 🍳 Cooking isn’t just about feeding mouths — it’s a meaningful way to connect with others. Plus, it sneaks in a bit of maths and creativity too! 🤏🏻

The third group of papers within our proceedings considers student support- how we can help our students to succeed without changing the teaching or assessment and why do our students stop engaging. The papers were written in a supportive environment giving a positive experience to authors #SoTL

The section section of the conference proceedings relate to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. These papers were written in a supportive environment, where they received encouraging and constructive peer reviews giving authors a valuable positive experience.

The proceedings launch went very well, the links to the first 4 papers are in the comments, all themed around employability. These papers were written in a supportive environment, where they received encouraging and constructive peer reviews giving authors a valuable positive experience.

Today we launch the inaugural proceedings from our annual eSTEeM conference (eek! 😃). The papers, were written in a supportive environment, where peer reviews were constructive and positive, allowing new authors valuable experience in academic writing whist showcasing #SoTL within #STEM.

Today the eSTEeM team have the great privilege of choosing our new student reference panel. So many great applicants, it will be very hard to choose. Students need to be the driving force behind the direction of scholarship and be the loudest voice, so the choice is important. Happy day! #SoTLsky

Thank you @suebecks.bsky.social @profsallybrown.bsky.social and @kaysambell.bsky.social for making my first #FlutterChat such a positive experience. A bit retro, but in a really good way 🙃 I'll be back! #LTHEChat #HigherEd #AcademicSky lx.uts.edu.au/blog/2025/01...

Are you a resolution keeper or breaker? Personally I know I would be a breaker and so I never make them. Or maybe if my resolution is to never make a resolution I’m actually a resolution keeper.

Today’s #NationalPuzzleDay puzzle is all about logic—so don’t worry if you’re not a mathematician, this one’s for everyone! 🧠✨ Puzzle 3: New Year’s Resolutions 🎉 In this world, people are either: ✅ Resolution-keepers (always tell the truth) ❌ Resolution-breakers (always lie)

Continuing our #NationalPuzzleDay fun, here’s a puzzle to challenge your optimisation and visual thinking!🧩 Puzzle 2: Icy Inversion 🧊 This triangle points up (like a mountain 🗻) What is the least number of snowflakes which must be moved so that the triangle points down (like this pizza slice 🍕)?
