Just learning that ICE has a $4.2 million contract for social media surveillance/AI analysis with Fivecast. A few years ago I came across a brochure of theirs which used as an example for potential police customers their ability to map left-wing groups. www.eff.org/deeplinks/20...

An issue seemingly lost in the Dr. Fauci hearing today is how Senator Rand Paul was able to obtain Fauci's private diaries and release them to the public. I haven't read much about how this happened. Not sure what the 1st or 4th Amendment are doing these days -- perhaps just taking a long snooze.

Today, the company is leaping into bed with a purveyor of misinformation to toy with a tool known for getting facts wrong.

Marco Rubio is against birthright citizenship. But Marco Rubio *is* a birthright citizen. Ted Cruz is against birthright citizenship. But Ted Cruz was born in Canada. He only got US citizenship by a birthright citizenship law because of his US mother. They are both shameless hypocrites.

If you get upset about this, right-wingers will call you humorless. Meanwhile, well-meaning folks will say you shouldn't get upset b/c it's just a distraction, and you should focus on policy fights and on winning in November. As for me: This isn't funny, and it's good to take time to be angry.
