The Comics Cultural Impact Collective
(CCIC) is growing, and we're looking for someone who loves comics and the comics community and wants to help it flourish.
We want to broaden who has a voice and power in shaping CCIC and contribute to a stronger, fairer and more connected comics sector.
For this appointment, we welcome applications from Black, Asian, Brown, mixed-heritage and other racially minoritised people, whose perspectives are currently underrepresented within CCIC's governance.
You don't need previous board experience. There's no single route into this role, and we value lived, professional, creative, community and learned expertise.

Most importantly, we want somebody who cares about comics, believes in the people who make up our community, and is excited about helping the sector thrive.
This appointment is one part of our wider commitment to making CCIC more representative, equitable and accountable, and ensuring a wider range of knowledge, experience and perspectives meaningfully shape our decisions.

Wow. LOISH got accused of using Ai to make her art. I started following her on early deviantart. I remember first seeing her paintings in college. This is ridiculous, no one is safe. Artists Ive followed for actual decades are getting harassed because their work has been stolen and regurgitated.

Looking back, he says, “don’t make fun of me, I really do feel bad.” She replies, “oh, sorry, I didn’t mean to-“ but he cuts her off with “I’m already having a terrrible day and the last thing I need is for you to make it worse. No offence.”

Melody apologises again and then tries to steer the conversation to something more positive, saying, “what’s wrong, is there anything I can help with?” But Zachary says no. He looks at his piano, dismaying that his deadlines are creeping closer while he still feels unable to create anything productive. He doesn’t know why he’s struggling.

Melody approaches Zachary but he slaps her in the face. She pauses to recover before saying "I have to clean the kitchen."

Melody’s doppelgänger tilts her head to the side and chastises her with a sarcastic and mocking smile, “wow, Melody, what a great idea! I wonder how that’ll go…” Melody glares at her unflinchingly, her left eye adorned with a bruise as her doppelgänger continues, “let’s just walk right in over and ask him very nicely to please not hit us anymore! He might even apologise!”

That no matter who we are or what we've done, love is an inherent right that no sin can strip away."

Melody glares at him in stunned disbelief. The painting is five simple words on a black canvas: you deserve to be loved.

Zachary concludes, "I won't deny I find some comfort in even as simple a message as this."
