I don't know how to explain to the people who pop up when creatives complain about "AI" to say there are legit uses for it just how much they sound like someone saying "Well actually fire is used to make bread" when people are talking about an organized arson ring burning down their fucking houses

Oh hey, yep, basically same conclusions we came to. Like even if you're willing to write off the ethical stuff, there's a bunch of super boring business reasons to not go anywhere near it. Including "it appears to erode your abilities even if you're aware of that risk going in." That's uh. Um. No.

Blue Bottle Games, as a policy, does not use generative AI. It's something we've discussed as a team, weighing the pros and cons, and ultimately, we decided it was not for us. Recently, while chatting with a colleague, she mentioned it was useful hearing our reasoning. So: Sharing time! 1/12

I keep discovering new things about 5.5e. For instance: you generally cannot learn Rare Languages unless a feature lets you. Rangers and rogues get features that let them learn any language including rare ones! But there is no way for a wizard, bard, or warlock to learn Draconic, Infernal, etc.
