Look, I keep seeing these snide comments about "AI witch hunts" and whatever, and then I open up BookBub and see a book with a clear AI cover, so I delve deeper and then the book description is thousands of words, organized by section and bullet point and lol. Like c'mon. Not even trying.
weird how christopher nolan making a quality movie with basically every famous actor in hollywood was extremely successful and the culture war couldn’t touch it oh well, nobody could have seen this coming, see you at our next round of faux pearl-clutching about Woke
‘THE ODYSSEY’ has passed $1 billion internationally. The first time a non-sequel or non-remake film has reached this mark since ‘Avatar’.
Sometimes I wonder if I'm just a load bearing weirdo in places and not a "give em a chance" weirdo.
i love this fact (but it might come as zero surprise) because i wrote a book where one of the peaks in the Appalachians speak she's arguing with the Death of Mountains about why she gets to live anyway it won an award (and was nominated for some others)

Cornette is the worst kind of grifter in da biz and doesn't deserve the grace people keep giving him.
Cornette's went "all in" on the homophobia in his review. "Ibushi kicked out of the finisher, oh I wonder why?" "One Winged Fairy", "Omega was on his knees, where he's most comfortable." I think the match broke him. Let the mask slip fully.
Lovely review of @adventitiouswords.bsky.social issue 1, including my novelette “The Soundtrack of My Afterlife” which you can find here: www.adventitious.net/stories/the-...

Upon a rewatch, Omega/Ospreay is still astounding. I like it better than the Omega/Okada match. Kenny is a better villain to beat. Ospreay on that night in that setting was the better plucky underdog. Just one of the greatest matches of all time.
Publication day! 🥳🎉🙌 My collection "After You Were Lost" was published by WATG Press today. It's a collection that means a lot to me, and I'm excited that people will finally get to read it. All of the 23 flash and micro stories within deal with grief in different ways. Something I know much about.
Yep. Just yep. Someone hip editors to this.
Weird fiction seems to be having a moment but without lots of the people trying to write it actually grasping what it is. I keep reading stories where there’s clearly an attempt at vaguely gesturing towards ‘the Weird’ but they just cant help over-explaining everything. Truly frustrating stuff.
Lawrence's work has always been well worth your time. 99 cent pre-order is a steal.
𝘙𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘢 𝘜𝘯𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 has been submitted to Amazon and will be available on October 1st in both epub and TPB formats. I'll be dong a launch for it at CAPCLAVE. I would not take it badly if you bought dozens of copies for your friends.
I stopped watching MMA entirely during the first Trump presidency. Gave up my previous career in combat sports. Why? Because I couldn't abide by what it was turning into. Woof.
USA IS COOKING! Watch until the end This occurred last night at Duel Arena 1 a combat sports event that took place on August 29, 2026, at the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida, featuring a mix of MMA, boxing, and kickboxing matches
It's super interesting a guy getting arrested today in ABQ for returning cut down Flock cameras to the county and he's absolutely one of those Sovereign Citizens libertarians. Fake "diplomat" plates and a flag welded to his truck. Goes to show you that nobody likes this junk.
ICE must be destroyed. Not reformed. Not reined in. DESTROYED. Disbanded. All its personnel need to be fired and then prosecuted, convicted, and jailed.
NEW ICE wants to build a nationwide database of voters, their voting history and, potentially, their party affiliations too. ....and it's willing to pay someone up to $5M to do it www.wired.com/story/ice-pl...

...so the pay cut that WWE offered Kofi and Creed was MORE than 50%? Good lord. Remember: They signed a new contract last year.
The James Patterson factory churning out Mr. Beast slop is very funny. I do wonder who the ghost writer is on this one and feel bad they didn't get credit like his other "co-authors" (read: authors who got a loose outline and wrote the book most likely) usually do.
The title on Amazon is pure SEO slop, I thinks to myself. Surely, it can’t be the ISBN title, I says.
A lot of times my writing tends to fall into much more abstract places than coherent narratives, and it's not the kind of writing that will end up widely read/shared or whatever, which is why I'm grateful to have my own platform like a Patreon to share that stuff with the world.

Costco values their employees and lets them know it.
The speech Chris shared included a big excerpt from my essay "When They Say They've Cured Autism," which I wrote last year. Here's the full essay in case people are interested. Again, many thanks to everyone! I'm deeply honored and wish I could be at @laworldcon.bsky.social with everyone. 2/

Rewatched the intros to the #AEWAllIn main event and damn. I just can't. Gotta do a full rewatch tomorrow because it was that good.
You know, @jasonsanford.bsky.social is just amazing. I've had some struggles in the last year and Jason was very kind and helpful to me.
The 2026 Hugo Award for Best Fan Writer goes to Jason Sanford.
It's weird. Zero FOMO over WorldCon stuff. Massive FOMO over missing CanJam SoCal. Very content that I got to watch AEW All In. Not sure what that says about me or where I'm at right now.
