I usually am Team Cephalopod, but you have to give props to this sea otter that took on a very large Giant Pacific Octopus for its lunch (Kachemak Bay, AK). Note the octopus eye in bottom right of second photo. 🦑 🧪

I'm surprised by the amount of hostile sentiment on Blue Sky toward AI/Computer Vision By design BlueSky is a *free* data mining platform bankrolled by VC firms vested in 205 AI companies. They expect a ROI. What did folks think their BlueSky data was being used for? littlesis.org/oligrapher/1...

Salmon Hat Party, watercolor on paper
The 80's fad is back North Pacific killer whales have again been seen in Puget Sound wearing salmon on their heads, as they did in 1987 and 1988. It is not known whether this is simply a fad or has some function (such as saving food for eating later). (blog) https://buff.ly/4g4sTW5
I need to make a picture of this...

Try not to forget: We begin drawing because of our childlike curiosity to replicate - to understand, to dissect - what interests us. The desire to be "good" was never why you picked up the pencil in the first place. Experiment. Be a kid again.

Winter will be here soon and today felt like this 😍 🍁 🍂 🐿️ This is a painting I did called ‘Foraging’ The weather was starting to turn and Mr. Nibbles could sense autumn in the air. He spent a happy afternoon foraging for acorns, ready for the winter ahead.
If you’re not a fan of ai images, or even just want to know when something is ai so you are not misinformed, sub to the @aimod.social labeler 🙂 The team works really hard to review reports and label what we can find so that users don’t have to guess or see those images if they don’t want to.
