Floridian (for now). Clevelander by birth and by heart. Music/politics junkie. Teacher/Tutor. Striving every day to be better than the day before, which isn't easy as long as #34 [felony counts] is in our White House.

Poor Jeanine Pirro. It’s always sad when a vicious liar loses their job because they unscrupulously tried to ruin the life of an innocent American hero to appease the most repellent man in America. Drink up, sweetie.

And so Cornyn and Tillis get to walk away from the nightmare they've unleased on us. Thanks for hammering one more nail into America's coffin, guys.

This Film often has the piss taken out of it for being a rather sedentary piece about 2 people just talking a lot — BUT — it has one of the most brilliantly prescient monologues in the history of Movies imho. MY DINNER WITH ANDRE (1981) Have a listen.

The whole point of the Bill of Rights is to protect the only true minority - the individual. It limits the governments power to harm the individual. The whole constitution is designed to limit the governments power.

Never realized before trump that there are people who perpetually use the legal system as a personal cudgel. And now his U.S. Treasury can fund any fight he wants to start.

“Federal law enforcement is protecting one party and prosecuting its opposition…They are confident they can avoid consequences. If they can break the law with impunity, elections are the only consequence they face, [so] they have every incentive to steal them.” open.substack.com/pub/cmarmita...

A Ruling Party That Faces No Consequences for Open Corruption Has No Reason to Accept Elections

We won't survive if we try to play by their rules.

With the Trump regime putting pressure on states about elections and even threatening arrests, does this amount to election interference in itself?

Parnas: Are you at all concerned about the USPS mail-in ballot rule they’re floating… Fontes: A lot of people don’t know that the USPS has an obligation. Once a piece of mail gets into their hands, they’re mandated by law to move it through their system and get it where it needs to go.

Harvey Levin calls the attacks on Dr. Anthony Fauci "one of the most heartbreaking things" he’s witnessed in government, comparing the push to jail him to the fear and persecution of the McCarthy era. Edited for format.

This whole exercise isn't about COVID-19 or Gain of Function research...this is about Congress putting a retired public servant through the wringer because they want to spook scientists. This is all a part of a plan to chill scientists from taking evidence-based and principled stands against govt.

The point is to make scientists think twice about publishing that paper that goes against the MAGA belief system, lest they too, be taken into the town square and assaulted with tomatoes. See? Whatever thing you think this is about...it isn't. Stop taking the bait!

If you’re watching Fauci’s testimony remember that science isn’t an ideology. It doesn’t lie. It evolves. COVID-19 was a once-in-a-century pandemic caused by a brand-new virus, recommendations changed because the evidence changed. That’s not deception. That’s how it works.

I caught two strikes and a Bluesky community guidelines violation for jokingly wondering how his story will end. We are all held to incredibly high standards while the president is held to zero.

Shit likes this is why I think any Democratic administration is completely within their right to revoke Fox's press credentials. This isn't journalism meant to inform, it's propaganda meant to radicalize.

Education Secretary Linda McMahon and Maria Bartiromo push complete BS about public schools secretly making kids trans without the knowledge of their parents. McMahon says she's doing a number of investigations about it.

But what is the point of getting access if you just let the subject spew falsehoods and propaganda? It is always better to air a news program that is devoid of these things even if it is also devoid of interviews. "Access journalism" is not journalism.
