The partner of Johan Guerrero, who was killed by an immigration agent this week, described him as a tireless worker and doting father who would do anything for his 3-year-old daughter.

Wow. The ICE shooter in Maine asked his ex-wife to "to lie for him and to cover for his character." She said he was abusive and had previously reported concerns about him to his military superiors. He was also a volunteer firefighter, but was removed after several spats with department leadership.

This contradiction isn't talked about enough. We can't want prices to rise (for home value to appreciate) and fall (for homes to be affordable) at the same time!

Alex Baumhardt@alexbaumhardt.bsky.social · 4mo agoMany of these private utilities in the West should have been investing more of their record profits in wildfire prevention over the last few decades, rather than hiking rates in haste following 2020 wake up call and asking ratepayers to urgently shoulder the burden.
