I've always taken issue with this. Clauses are written so broadly that literally any creative work – a drawing you make for your kid, a poem you write for your spouse – is owned by The Company. You say this to a recruiter, and they say, "oh, don't worry, we won't enforce it." Screw that.

This was, is, and always will be a brilliantly shit illustration of how stupidly self defeating business people can be. Forgoing the universal positive of a staff self-training on their own time, because of the vague fear that one in a hundred might make some money.

Thank you so much to @jon.inkle.co and @sagarberoshi.bsky.social for having me on the podcast, it was a wonderful conversation! 🙏 Very grateful to have been given a platform to discuss this niche topic!

New Kaleidoscope episode! Narrative designer @rdemiranda.bsky.social joins us to discuss the untapped potential of in-game economies to build the fiction of the world - and to drive the story, too. Listen here, or on any podcast platform: www.inklestudios.com/kaleidoscope...

Nighthawks, our vampire RPG, is coming in FALL OF 2026!! Seize the night as a modern monster, stepping out of the shadows to build a thriving nightclub empire through fear, seduction, and forbidden supernatural gifts. See our new trailer below, and wishlist here: bit.ly/4o36HRx

The lovely @jon.inkle.co and @sagarberoshi.bsky.social had me on their excellent Game Narrative Kaleidoscope podcast to talk about the piece I wrote for the GNK collection "The Tina Fey Hat Problem". We sure did cover some ground.

Venerable storyteller @edstern.bsky.social joins us to talk in great detail about understatement, and the craft of putting material in versus holding it back. Turn to www.inklestudios.com/kaleidoscope... to begin!

Hey @jon.inkle.co & @sagarberoshi.bsky.social. I'm loving every episode. Keep going! One thing other interview podcasts do is take a moment at the end of the interview to reflect on it (normally once the guest has gone home). I'd love to hear you guys do this. A few minutes of analysis & evaluation

New Kaleidoscope ep! This week, @storeytell.bsky.social joins us to talk about writing for romance, ways to stories drive beyond conflict, and finding the sublime within the commercial. Listen at www.inklestudios.com/kaleidoscope..., or any podcast place!

I had such a brilliant time chatting to @jon.inkle.co and @sagarberoshi.bsky.social about world-building from material details, building plausible deniability into your settings, and how players love to be historians so you may as well embrace it with your narrative design. Give it a listen!

This week on the Game Narrative Kaleidoscope Podcast: Historian and game writer @hollynielsen.bsky.social talks about building plausible deniability into your world-building by pinning lore on sources. Check it out here: www.inklestudios.com/kaleidoscope... ... or any-podcast-place!

New Kaleidoscope day! This week's guest is a historian turned game writer, talking on world-building from material details, and building plausible deniability into your settings. ... and if you can't guess who it is from that, find out at 10am!

I'm quietly (loudly?) becoming a fan of the new Kaleidoscope podcast. @jon.inkle.co & @sagarberoshi.bsky.social in conversation with writers, just talking about narrative design. Getting geeky, but keeping it accessible. A must listen for anyone writing any kind of interactive fiction.
