I'm happy to see some accountability being advocated for here. Vision Zero was never intended to be empty platitudes. It's time to do some actual work to make the city safer and better. Great work @whoalansi.bsky.social and @alexwilliamsyyc.bsky.social calgaryherald.com/opinion/colu...

Most of Calgary in full denial of this, including those who make decisions about how are city grows, EVEN THOUGH we have decades of policy direction that sprawl keeps our taxes high, strains our infrastructure, compromises public health and so on and so forth

I hate working the weekends for the simple fact that we’re the forgotten ones. Transit is slow and unreliable. Local news, information and updates are tailored for people getting up later if at all. Yet we need to be where we’re supposed to in order to support everyone and everything around us.

CBC’s “This is Calgary” podcast, hosted by their traffic reporter, (re-)visits another Calgary car sewer and asks why does this place suck… …while never a mention that it’s a car sewer or that people don’t like hanging out in car sewers. #Calgary www.cbc.ca/listen/cbc-p...
