Happy thanksgiving, here’s my review of Solly’s Kraft Dinner Cream Soda. Entrance fee is listening to some of my thoughts on rhetoric in the Toronto election. Enjoy.

Building hater/appreciator out of Toronto. He/they. Hates your neighbourhood’s character, yes, specifically yours.

I’ve upgraded my detrash tools with a high vis purpose built bag called a Litter Ridder. It can hold up to 10 lbs of junk. Alternated biking and walking to brickworks, lower don, cork town commons, then union. Full bag and exhausted pup.
Matt is right: Chris Alexander’s withdrawal speech DOES read like a poem. Thank you @hausofdecline.bsky.social for an incredible night and backing track and @edwardrow.com for recording.
Chris Alexander’s full statement announcing that he is stepping aside from the mayoral race. It kind of reads like a poem, which I did not expect.
The point of this project is that it's impossible to achieve a "win" state; the boulder just rolls down the hill the next day. But the before/after shots are still quite satisfying.
I've started my third week of Never the Same River, my daily POV photo/detrash walk series. Here's a little preview of the newly uploaded September 30 vid, featuring a surprise @mikelayton.bsky.social cameo.

I am once again at Biidaasige. $1.5 billion in investment that’s going to unlock something like $10 billion in development. An engineering project that allowed landscape architects to lead. We are very fortunate.
I am thrilled to announce BradGPT.ca is now live. If you want to support this visionary leader but don’t trust the AI generated responses his team provides, BradGPT promises bespoke, handmade, and unique responses delivered right to your inbox.

Fascinating UofT School of Cities project on the correlation between neighbourhood characteristics and mayoral vote over the last few decades. Looking at the strongest positive correlations for Olivia Chow voting areas in 2023 sure tells a tale. schoolofcities.github.io/place-and-po...
The crazy thing about street photography as a hobby is that some mornings I will see things so serene and beautiful that they almost move me to tears and then I have to go sit in an office chair and build a database as if nothing happened
Also of note—when building this thing I tried to engage the platform’s AI assistant and it flat out refused on a community safety and “manipulating public opinion” basis. Should give you some idea of what Bradford’s team IS NOT taking into consideration.
I am excited to announce that I will be launching a new service that will generate handcrafted analogue pro-Bradford responses on request. You simply enter the URL of a post by Brad, Chow, or Alexander and your email. Then I will send you a JPG to post with a bespoke response.

Stumbled on a nice moment on UofT campus this weekend.
Because of the election, the elevated discourse has been bumming me out, so I've expanded my street photo practice (and dog walking) to include something to keep my hands off my phone between shots. Thanks to the r/detrashed community for the inspo.
There is a lovely bake sale at 20 Spadina Road in support of United Way and Community Living just north of Bloor and Spadina today. The blueberry coffee cake was a 10/10 for me.
Next week, we're returning to Etobicoke to close out Liminal Assembly's Loiterfest. Dinner at the base of an office tower. A walk past a dead mall. Karaoke at a prison-themed bar. It all kicks off Sept 30 at Kipling Station wygo.world/loiter-s-end...

Come to SHOW OF DECLINE on Thursday, October 8 at Tapestry in Kensington Market. Get cultured, stupid! This one features @anotherglassbox.bsky.social, @meghanharrison.bsky.social and @zakjones.ca! Also open mic poetry with my band @antispectacular.bsky.social
We’re stuck waiting at the vet so I did a photoshoot with (slightly stressed) Penny.
Alexander posting a video full of spelling errors, Bradford posting a thread of single images that tells you to swipe like a carousel, and Bradford posting his takeaway from the debate is that he should smile more…she’s gonna be mayor for life man.
Five years ago I smashed my head into a broken garage door that had partially closed behind me. Got a persistent post concussion syndrome diagnosis, did lots of rehab, got a dog on recommendation of my neurosurgeon, got a migraine disorder that hospitalizes me about once/year…

The poor dog sitter, who by all appearances has a great bond w my dog, wanted to say bye to Penny but unfortunately I am simply too loved and she was utterly snubbed at pick up time.
Apologies for the heavy breathing but I straight up chased and caught up with this boat when I realised what it was… if you look/listen closely, you can join Joël for the @tosoarch.bsky.social boat tour today.
