Professional nerd. Follows feminists. Forthcoming book: Do I Know You http://shorturl.at/apEIJ agent @mackenzieagency, bylines in various places, she/her/היא

It’s really pretty cool that one thing you can do to support people you like is ask your local library to get their book because it doesn’t cost you anything, it helps them, and the librarian gets to know someone actually wants to read a book and not just use the computer for Roblox

When Harris went on Call Her Daddy, Trump responded by trashing the host … who then doubled down with an episode highlighting GOP abortion restrictions. Rogan has recently said he’d never have Trump on, so there’s a good chance Trump attacks him too, with similar blowback.

part of the value in going on rogan for harris is that trump probably can’t do it and it may be a disaster for him if he tries

I think Harris is going on Fox and Rogan because she is modeling what good leadership in a democracy should look like, where you are unafraid to speak to audiences of voters who might be unreceptive because that's your job, to be the President for the whole country. The contrast w/ Trump is glaring.

Me: BUT I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT KIND OF RABBI HE IS. Him: A tv one. Me: BUT WHY ARE THEY MAKING KIDDUSH AT THE END OF THE MEAL NOT ON SHABBAT AT A BAT-MITZVAH? Him: They are doing Jewish things. All the "Jewish' things. They are going to blow shofar next.

We had to go to a notary this morning. I LOVE having an excuse to visit the upper floors of nondescript office buildings — to visit the residual landscapes of stamps, seals, signatures, and indexical, analog administration 🥰

I’m going to need a massive chart that explains which Republicans are self-identified Nazis, which Republicans are simply parroting Nazis, which Republicans are defending slavery, which Republicans are dealing with sex scandals, and which Republicans are juggling combinations of the above.

I can't speak for all American Jews, but for me at least, a presidential candidate saying there's Good Jews (ones who vote for him) and Bad Jews (ones who don't) and if he loses the election it was "rigged" and he'll blame Jews, is a lot more concerning than some college students denouncing Israel.

And something like *75% of all credit hours* in US higher ed are taught by adjuncts. So the overwhelming majority of faculty members, and an even higher proportion of instruction, in colleges and universities is poorly-paid and precarious. This is grossly unjust, bad for education, bad for students.

Faculty knows what this means but most people don't. It means 70% of all US faculty are being paid close to minimum wage.

At @goodauth.bsky.social, Campbell & I show that Black adolescent girls consider @kamalaharis.bsky.social a role model, and that exposure to Black women politicians leads both Black and white girls to express more interest in running for office themselves. goodauthority.org/news/kamala-...
