I've also received solicitations to write for journals (real) from people (also real), but which are "off" like this here. The first time was quite convincing, and it was only the fact it had been flagged by spam and the domain of the address wasn't the official one that tipped me off.

Writers! There’s an ongoing scam (that everyone has probably experienced by now tbh) which involves AI-written invitations to book clubs and literary festivals. Only now they’re using real literary festivals and signing emails from real people. So: beware.

I completely understand why people who follow, e.g., disability policy, trans healthcare, asylum, etc. hate Keir Starmer. I was always a little puzzled why passive milquetoast centrists seemed to hate him, given his complete lack of anything. I am most perplexed at how he has *fans*.
