the guardian describes decades of peer reviewed medical science, study, and research as an ‘orthodoxy’. they did the exact same thing with gender affirming care. this is the same playbook. get a right wing quack to cast doubt and then have a bunch of columnists present it as reasonable.

The Great ADHD Myth? review – the most controversial show of the year is here

Casual reminder that the myth of “pulling yourself up by your bootstraps” is a cruel hoax designed to convince poor people from all walks of life that the injustices they face are a result of their own actions, rather than an oppressive system rigged against them.

This will be up for auction on Facebook this Saturday, the group is called Artists Raising Money for Wildlife.

The Middle Earth map is done. Official photos to follow another day. All hand burned onto the wood. This will be available in a Facebook auction to raise funds for @sewh.bsky.social in August. It will not be available outside of the auction so it’s a rare thing 😁 #lotr #maps #handmade #fantasy

Rectangular wood slice with bark edges and a map of Middle Earth burned onto the surface.

Approving new oil and gas developments would be a failure of a Prime Minister's basic duty to protect our environment and communities. We don't need more short-term capitalist thinking; we need bold decision-making to build an economy which puts people and planet before profit.

The sitting MP got 22k votes in a joke election where a novelty candidate got nearly 10k, and has thus beaten the establishment or something, at a cost of some £300k to the taxpayer. Cool. Can we now get back to the parliamentary standards enquiry into that £5million bung?

Sunday Times Rich List 2026 The richest family in the UK is worth £38 billion A 99% tax would leave them with £380 million That’s more wealth than most people could dream of in a lifetime So forgive me, but I think they’ll survive @greenparty.org.uk's proposed 1% wealth tax Wealth tax. Now.

It's important to know that if a billionaire loses 10% of their wealth, or 50%, or 90%, or even 99%. That they are still far richer than most people will ever be and it has zero negative effects on their life. I don't know why more people aren't demanding they get poorer.

Really? Is that it? If this is all that’s come from COBR, it’s pitifully inadequate. As crisis deepens, it beggars belief that there aren’t eg plans to increase resources for the fire service, support for farmers, max workplace temperature, funded community cool spaces & obvs ban on new fossil fuels
