I said this in a thread last night and in a thousand threads before it, but you really are doing the work of those who would destroy democracy and the rule of law when you are a doomer. You can be aware of — and vigorously oppose — the lawlessness of this administration without insisting on doom.
There will be a lot of equivocating about all the times search warrants have been executed on members of Congress for corruption investigations and the like, and it can't be stressed enough in how many ways HSI raiding Ilhan Omar is extremely not like that.
A reminder that the "presumption of regularity" (a) should not always be afforded and (b) can, in any event, be overcome.

Read Keri. I don't think Americans realize how improvisational & sketchy these lethal injections are. Even for cocktails w/ some history of efficacy, the drugs are of uncertain compounding provenance or could be expired. & that's before we get to issues with effectively administering the drugs.

Trump v. US does indeed share a methodological kinship with Douglas's much-mocked Griswold opinion, but the latter involves a far more defensible structural inference.

One of the challenges of this app in these times is lack of charity. If you read the (free, linked) post, you'll see he's talking about people you "respect" and "admire," not fascists, flat-earthers, ethnic cleansers, etc. This is good advice!

Cabining this to the first show being Jan. 1, 2000 rather than limiting evaluation to the portion of the series occurring in the 21st century feels odd to me (though of course the whole construct is arbitrary, I get it). The Sopranos, e.g., is clearly a 21st Century TV series in spirit.
