This post, and 95% of the replies to it, have shown me that (1) people outside of Minnesota *really* don’t understand what happened there, (2) this disconnect also them to use Minnesotans as props in their Hogan’s Heroes-ified fantasies that are completely divorced from our reality on the ground

A former editor of Breitbart News, Yiannopoulos has also served as an intern for Marjorie Taylor Greene Milo Yiannopoulos, a far-right British political commentator, was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Louisiana, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In a statement on Friday, a DHS spokesperson said that Yiannopoulos was arrested on Thursday at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans international airport (MSY). my wife has a friend who sent Dolly Parton a painting she made & a letter explaining how much Dolly's music meant to her while she was transitioning. Dolly responded to it personally & paid for her top surgery. Sounds like an urban legend but it's real. I think we're going to more stories like this.

This is not overly PC or overly generous reporting from 1990, this largely neutral snippet is just how normal tabloids and their audiences were about transgender issues 36 years ago. It shows how artificial and forced the media furore of now is.
