30s. Gay kink. @switchbastien’s collared dogboy. Episcopalian. Politics. DC comics? Warhammer? MOTORCYCLES. “‘90s skate punk as gender presentation.” Not legal advice. Views my own.

Wait wait, the guy challenging Nick LaRota in LI did modeling work for Mr. S? I thought he looked familiar! But also, sounds like a great guy, I wonder if I should give him money.

Voter fraud cases are rare and basically take two forms: (1) Trump die-hard submitted an extra vote on behalf of a dead relative; (2) People confused by patchwork of inconsistent voter eligibility laws and/or provided erroneous or inadequate guidance by gov't materials and agents.

A big update to an important case: Alaska is dropping charges against a family of American Samoans it had accused of voting crimes. It should not be forgotten that Alaska inflicted enormous hardship and trauma, for years, for a simple, understandable mistake that the state itself helped facilitate.

A lot of insiders bought fully into the whole 2024 vibe shift (which idiotically is because 2024 was called faster than 2020), so a blue wave runs against the mental modal. If you correctly assume 2024 was mostly affordability however 2026 polls make sense.

There is a remarkable hesitancy from DC insiders/handicappers, etc. to admit that a blue wave is the modal outcome at this point. My guess is it’s continued residual fear of being wrong like 2016 or 2020, but like, we do have a very good idea of what is going to happen

eh, i think trans people were also a chosen target because the class of people who run these newspapers have “your child doesn’t turn out how you wanted them to” near the top of “horrible things i can imagine happening to me” so it’s a very natural thing for them to worry about through that lens

It’s honestly wild how little of a plan the Gulf States have for “what if the Americans tell us to take a hike?” For how they have behaved. Like yeah, obviously Trump screws over everybody who deals with him, but their long term prospects on the Democrsric party aren’t great either.

Saudi Arabia Faces ‘Worst-Case Scenario’ After Being Rebuffed by Trump The kingdom is in a state of strategic shock after coming under attack from an emboldened Iran and failing to win more U.S. military support, analysts say.

Anyway, this is why none of the factional infighting really matters. Either the republicans destroy the economy (making Racism feel unaffordable for the decisive portion of the electorate) or they don’t. The details of platform or policy basically don’t matter (candidate rizz DOES matter, though).

My current theory of politics is that racism is a luxury Americans indulge when they feel like their personal financial situation is strong enough to risk putting a Republican in charge of the economy and all issue polling is us trying to invent palatable excuses for this behavior.

Let’s be clear about this - if you care about trans rights and live in Texas you should race to vote for Talarico over Paxton. That doesn’t mean you can’t criticize him (he’s earned it on this issue), but the fundamental truth of VOTE BLUE NO MATTER WHO holds easily.

W/o getting drawn into the "seriously or literally" / "it'll never happen" trap, we need to stomp *hard* on the continuing effort to undermine Article 1 power of the purse by saying that this or that revenue stream makes something outside the normal budget process. 1/ www.nbcnews.com/business/eco...

Lutnick says Trump’s $5,000 checks for Americans wouldn’t rely on taxpayer funds

A top White House official suggested Congress would use a budget process to fund them. Vice President JD Vance had said tariff revenues.
