The biggest target I've ever seen on my books. Texas placed Banned Book Club and Occulted on a state-wide list of illegal "dirty books." Having them in any school could lead to state takeover where the government could shut down the library entirely and convert it into a student detention center.

“Well, you only THINK you are allergic” after I flagged that I thought I was allergic to a medication I was being prescribed based on a previous (*very* minor) reaction. Anyway, turns out I didn’t need to *think* I was allergic because I definitely very much reacted after she prescribed it lol.

There’s something so embarrassing about losing your voice and having to make phone calls. I just had the most pathetic-sounding, voice-cracking call with my cat’s pharmacy, asking them to add fish flavor to his meds. Phone person, I swear I’m not crying, I’ve just lost my voice. 😭

I had the opportunity to read @mythjae.bsky.social ‘s new book, This Mortal Coil, today! I’m pretty familiar with Jasmine’s work, so I was excited to get to read this as an ARC.

This book is SO good. I was kicking my feet excitedly the whole time reading the script.
