If anyone goes to the Arrowverse panel today at #nycc can you let me know if they address why Candice Patton isn’t there with the rest of the Flash panel? I’m missing it because there is an issue with my badge so I’m missing it >.<
There is nothing wrong with a young violet bridgerton series but tbh for me the tea I want to be drinking is grown violet. She fine af
There is nothing wrong with acknowledging that dating is political, and if you are an activist, it is important to be able to discuss that--also, women are not broodmares and do not exist to extend lineages
JRR Tolkien: You paint that picture of the key scene from the Two Towers where Frodo and Sam fight Gollum? Donato Giancola: Sure did, Ron, real fuckin' sexy just like you asked. JRRT: What.

Great essay and also I teared up thinking about how @thingswithwings.bsky.social and @eruthros.bsky.social created a year-long Star Trek curriculum so we could watch Past Tense ON August 30, 2024 (and they kept it SECRET until the reveal!!!)
Princess Weekes@princesmweekes.bsky.social · 2w agoInitially, I didn't plan to do a Star Trek video, but while I was in the shower, an idea popped into my head, and here we are. New Video: youtu.be/wmraygqDEx0
Work in progress :3 I could write a whole essay on not only Martha but, assumptions that in Doctor Who that we kind of all took for granted. But many who are far more qualified and articulate already have @verilybitchie.bsky.social @princesmweekes.bsky.social #bbcdoctorwho #doctorwhofanart

Fantastic new video by @princesmweekes.bsky.social on Deep Space Nine and the prophetic portrayal of sanctuary cities and the Bell Riots in "Past Tense" with an amazing exploration on the impotance of Science Fiction and the role Star Trek has played A+ stuff. Watch it here youtu.be/wmraygqDEx0?...
What is the present and future that we aim to make, and how does #StarTrek, per usual, show the way but also not account for everything it can? Another banger from the estimable @princesmweekes.bsky.social. #DS9 youtu.be/wmraygqDEx0?...

I am pleased to announce that The Mask of Zorro still slaps.
Everytime I see more announcements about how people beyond Bryke were interested in exploring Zutara on the ATLA team it doesn’t make me feel validated—it just makes me feel annoyed. Because duh. I was there lol they marketed to Zutara all through book 2-3.
A lot of the anti non canon ship discourse is a mixture of a complete collapse of creativity and the continuing inability to not need characters to be morally pure to be interesting or worth investing in.
My father has been asking me to read to him when I visit, so we are reading Carrie, and he loves it. It is also fun being able to say curse words without him castigating me. lol

You know what else I realize I love about Xena? It really believed that you could have multiple soulmates and it didn’t matter or erase the ones you had before
Reading this sapphic Phantom reimagining because of the “discourse” right after watching @verilybitchie.bsky.social bisexual problem video has created perfect synergy in my brain
