I designed that as an adornment on her forehead, to symbolically represent the vulnerability she has in giving it to him and trusting him. It sits in the very place that he wounds her in his brutal betrayal later in the book.
This is Loki, our Maine Coon and the cat of our hearts, and he went missing today. We have no idea how he got out, but he’s an elder, indoor cat, the whole region’s in an intense heat wave, and we’re really scared. I doubt I have any followers here in Martinez, CA, but if so, help? It’s SO hot
My childhood friend died at 30. My partner's sister died in her 40s. My grandmother, recovering in the hospital from a manic episode, contracted COVID and died. My friend Leslie died in his early 40s. Several of my friends are still disabled.

They set up emergency medical tents in Central Park. Healthcare worker colleagues died. It is horrific that RFK Jr is on national TV lying that ICUs were empty.

Chad Loder@chadloder.dev · 4d agoThe diarrhea lettuce company, Taylor Farms, uses slave labor contracted from the Arizona Dept. of Corrections. The backbreaking labor is often performed by imprisoned Mexican nationals who would be otherwise ineligble to work in the US. They are paid $1.50 an hour.
Hey! I can talk about the lore of this one. During the Weatherlight Saga, Selenia was an angel corrupted by the Phyrexians, and installed as the guardian angel of Crovax's family to slowly manipulate them. Crovax would fall in love with her, free he, but be rejected and lose his mind. 1/

If you feel strongly about the type of content you want to see endorsed, the best thing you can do to support those creators is show up. Watching, commenting, sharing, etc. does a LOT to send that message. I promise, there ARE people making what you want to see, you just gotta look for it!

Today is the birthday of cartoonist Jackie Ormes (Aug. 1, 1911-Dec. 26, 1985), the first Black woman to create a newspaper comic strip that was read nationally in the US. She created Torchy Brown in Dixie to Harlem, Torchy in Heartbeats & Patty-Jo ‘n’ Ginger. Patty Jo became a toy doll.
Well this is going in an eventual Hawkeye deck. Kate: “This is an arrow from a fantasy story…it’s used to kill dragons..DOES THAT COME UP OFTEN?!?!” Clint sighs: “You’d be surprised…”
